Grandmothers & Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother

Grandmothers & Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother
Presented by Grandmother’s Voice
Each week, Grandmothers and Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother invites viewers into a sacred circle of story, song, and teaching led by respected Elders and Knowledge Keepers from across Turtle Island and beyond.
Hosted by Jody Harbour, Co-Founder of Grandmother’s Voice, the series offers a living bridge between ancestral wisdom and contemporary life — reminding us that healing, unity, and reconnection with Creation are the pathways to a more balanced world.
About the Event
This week, Grandmothers and Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother welcomes Geronimo Archuleta and Walking Crow, two teachers whose lives reflect devotion, discipline, and the deep spiritual responsibility of walking in service to the people.
Their paths—rooted in Apache tradition, shamanic healing, ceremony, and ancestral instruction—invite us to remember that healing is both an inward journey and a communal responsibility. Geronimo’s life-long commitment to Vision Quest and Sun Dance, and Walking Crow’s work helping people release trauma and reconnect to their bodies and spirits, together offer teachings shaped by humility, courage, and lived experience.
As they come to the fire, they remind us that the old ways remain alive when we show up with an open heart, ready to listen, learn, and transform.
About Geronimo Archuleta
Apache Sundancer | Vision Quest Practitioner | Carrier of Original Instructions
Geronimo Archuleta has walked the sacred path of Humblecha (Vision Quest) for 17 years and has supported the Sun Dance for 16 years. Raised by a Chiricahua Apache Curandera Grandmother, Geronimo was guided by a vision at just six months old to understand the Original Instructions given to the Ancestors. He carries forward healing and wisdom teachings rooted in Apache tradition.
Geronimo and his Apache Sundancer brothers, Tomas Shash and Ernesto Alvarado (Tano Quinquil), are currently seeking publication of their book, “The Apache Way to Healing.”
About Walking Crow
Transformational Shamanic Healer | Drum Maker | Teacher | Seer
Walking Crow is a transformational shamanic healer, life coach, medicine man, storyteller, and speaker whose work supports those seeking deep personal change. In his private practice, he leads workshops that help people reconnect with their bodies, release trauma, and find peace through the Chakra system and the subtle energies of the emotional body.
As a shamanic drummer, Walking Crow guides others into spirit-led journeys to meet guides, receive healing, or find clarity. He was taught by the spirits to birth Sacred Drum Medicine, and he has created drums for people around the world. He continues to host Sacred Drum Birthing Ceremonies, bringing forward healing through rhythm, spirit, and ancestral connection.
About the Series
What began as an online gathering during a time of isolation has become an international community of learning, reflection, and ceremony. Each week, Elders share teachings that speak to the heart — addressing personal healing, collective responsibility, and the spiritual relationships that bind all peoples to the Earth.
The livestream is more than a broadcast. It is a ceremony in motion — a virtual fire where all are welcome to sit, listen, and remember. Through stories, laughter, and truth, the Grandmothers and Grandfathers remind us who we are as spiritual beings walking gently on the land.
Purpose and Vision
The series aligns with Grandmother’s Voice’s mission to amplify Indigenous leadership and intergenerational healing through education, storytelling, and land-based practice. It builds cross-cultural understanding and creates space for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to learn together in good relations.
Themes explored include:
- The sacred responsibilities of land and water
- Ancestral knowledge and natural law
- Healing intergenerational trauma through ceremony
- Reconciliation rooted in love and accountability
- The role of Elders in guiding community wellness
