About the Event
This week, Grandmothers and Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother welcomes Maggi Sale and John T. Glass—two visionaries whose lives reflect courage, conviction, and the power of ancestral guidance.
Maggi and John come from different lands and lineages, yet their paths meet at the fire of peace, prophecy, and purpose. Both have lived their teachings in action: Maggi as a lifelong activist for peace and the earth, and John as a Keeper of the Vision of the First Mother—each reminding us that spirit is not theory but movement, not word but living breath.
Together, they invite us to reflect on what it means to walk our talk, to protect what we love, and to remember that every act of truth—whether on the front lines or in the quiet of prayer—is part of humanity’s healing.
About Maggi Sale
Peace Activist | Elder | Founder of Faslane Peace Camp
In August 1982, Maggi Sale led a 33-day Peace March throughout Scotland. What began as a single act of courage became a movement that would last generations. Following the march, she co-founded the Peace Camp at the Nuclear Base at Faslane, believing it would stand for just one winter. More than four decades later, the camp remains—continuously occupied and alive with the spirit of peace she helped ignite.
Maggi continues to visit each year on her birthday and, until recently, every Christmas Eve—sharing stories and solidarity with a new generation of peacekeepers, many of whom were not yet born when she first built that circle of resistance. Her legacy is one of steadfast love, community, and commitment to a peaceful world.
About John T. Glass
Grandfather | Visionary | Keeper of the First Mother’s Vision
John T. Glass is a father, grandfather, and spiritual teacher rooted in both the Yakama Nation (Longhouse of the 7 Drum Religion) and the Cherokee Nation (Wild Potato Clan). Born in December 1964 in Claremore Indian Hospital, he and his wife, Angela D. Glass, have shared a life of ceremony and service since their marriage on Christmas Day, 1983. They live in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where they continue to raise their granddaughter.
At age 37, John received The Vision of the First Mother, giving rise to the teaching known as “Our True Grandparents.” This sacred trust united eight human beings—male and female—drawn from the four colors of Earth’s dust to become “living souls.” Twelve Divine Directives were given, each pair entrusted with guardianship and guidance for humanity’s path forward. John carries these teachings with humility and purpose, helping others remember the original instructions of the human soul.
