About the Event

This week, Grandmothers and Grandfathers Speak from the Heart of the Mother welcomes Grandmother Lorna Shuford and Phillip Šúnkawakhán Sápa Black Horse, two respected elders and knowledge keepers who carry forward teachings of spirit, healing, and Indigenous identity.

Together, they offer reflections on walking the sacred path with humility and courage — honouring the Earth, the ancestors, and the responsibility we each hold to live in balance with Creation. Through story, ceremony, and lived experience, their voices remind us that healing begins with remembering who we are and where we come from.
